Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care
The provincial voice for non-profit child care programs. Since its inception, it has won from the provincial government the wage/provider enhancement grant, New Subsidies, A Commitment for a New Day Nurseries Act, and the Release of 8,200 jobsOntario child care spaces. To date, 300 child care programs are members of the network.

The Canadian Association for Young Children
The Canadian Association for Young Children is the only national association specifically concerned with the well being of children, birth through age nine - at home, in preschool settings and at school.  Members of this multi-disciplinary association include parents, teachers, caregivers, administrators, students and all those wishing to share ideas and participate in activities related to the education and welfare of young children.

Growing Healthy Canadians: A Guide for Positive Child Development, was created to promote and illustrate the idea that the healthy development of children and youth is a shared responsibility. It looks at the contributions that families, communities, workplaces, and governments can make in ensuring that young people grow up in the kinds of conditions they require to thrive. The Guide offers a rich source of information, with a focus on the main transitions in a child's life.
